THESE PERILOUS TIMES

The awesomeness of the only Omnipotent,, Omniscient & Omnipresent God is being demonstrated and can not be queried in these perilous times when the Corona Virus pandemic is ravaging the world.

The virus which is yet to be conquered is not sparing any particular class, age,race or religion in all societies worldwide The whole world is at a standstill as nobody is sure of being safe from its attack. Only those that are spared by the CREATOR will survive. All we can do is to take precautions as spelt out in the media worldwide and hope for the best.
In many parts of Nigeria, a ban has been placed on public meetings to prevent many people from gathering together. Emphasis has also been placed on strict hygiene and washing of hands as often as possible as well as maintaining social distance. A stay at home order has also been placed on citizens in some states to curtail the spread of the virus.

The truth is if our leaders had been proactive and closed our borders earlier, members of the political elite and others who imported the virus into the country would have been prevented from doing so.
Unfortunately the present state of our health facilities in Nigeria can not cope if the virus spreads rapidly. Thanks to our political elite who have in the past ignored the call for improved health care because at every opportunity they travel abroad for a cure for as little as a common cold to the detriment of our domestic health care system. But so far the CREATOR has been kind to us in that as at today, the mortality rate as reported is still very low compared to other parts of the world.

The news in the social media is that the virus can not thrive in temperature above 26-27degrees centigrade. Which means our high temperature in the country does not encourage the spread of the virus. Time will tell as to the authenticity of this claim.
It is heartwarming to learn that Cuba (a third world economy)is at the forefront of providing an arrest of the pandemic as witnessed in the activities of her health workers helping them out in Italy.
This could be a pointer to the fact that these perilous times may result in a change in the world order.  It will also bring the political elite especially in the Third World to focus more on the needs of their society as against their selfish individual wants.
We should however not panic, but have the faith that the CREATOR will not wipe out HIS creation (the human race) through this scourge.
