A DECADE OF HOPE?

A DECADE OF HOPE?

That we are alive to witness the beginning of another decade and another Yuletide Season, calls for giving all thanks and praises to the CREATOR. (Whatever we conceive Him to be). Irrespective of your religious belief, it is not because of your righteousness or goodness that you are privileged to witness this new decade, but HIS Grace and Mercies for your life.

In appreciation of this, it is important to resolve to extend God’s goodness to all fellow human beings you come across in your journey through life by demonstrating LOVE and KINDNESS towards them.

Every feeling of covetousness suspicion, competition, jealousy, hatred etc. which eventually leads to murder, rape, wars, kidnapping etc, should be buried to give way to a desire for the common good of society especially at this END TIME.

As Africans, our case is peculiar as our society is particularly backward in the scheme of things. We need a common resolve to unite and bury all our differences. A continental focus in every decision that we take is paramount with the ultimate aim of creating a Welfarist Society for the benefit of HUMAÑITY.

In our planning, every area that will fundamentally impact the welfare of the average poor masses of Africa, who are mostly illiterate, undernourished, docile and unfocused, should be considered.

We as Africans should aspire to push to the back burner, money politics and pursue leadership that is visionary and seeks to move the continent to the next level.

The future of the next generations of Africans is threatened unless something drastic is done to arrest the visionless and corrupt leadership that is common to the continent.

It is important that we fashion the political system of the continent in a novel direction that is totally African and not based on what is imported from the "advanced" continents of the world.

Our present attempt at copying “American Styled Democracy” in a society where illiteracy predominates is not helping us in any way especially in what used to be called Nigeria.

We need to gather together political Scientists, sociologists, traditional rulers, philosophers, economists and other bodies of thinkers who have distinguished themselves in their various fields of endeavour to draw a blue print for a political system that suits the yearning and aspiration of the average African, as most politicians seek political office as an avenue to get-rich-quick and live in comfort and false affluence.

We have to (as a matter of priority) break away from the shackles of neo-colonialism in Africa this decade otherwise, there is no hope for our unborn generations.

Let us all determine to make this “A decade of Hope for our continent”.
God Bless Africa
God Bless Humanity
