FORGIVE US OUR TRESPASSES….
Beloved, the Holy Book says “Forgive us our
trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us”.
The Situation in
our dear country Nigeria, calls for the petitioning of the CREATOR to forgive
us our sins as a nation. The violence, bloodletting, looting , banditry kidnapping insurgency ,rape and àll forms of antisocial activities being unleashed on the society is a call for repentance. The anger had been bottling up for so many years until it first erupted during the month of October2020.
It all started as
a peaceful protest calling for an end to police oppression and brutality, and among
other grievances, an end to bad governance which is characterized by
overwhelming corruption and nepotism.
The political
elite are not helping matters because they look out more for their own welfare
and lord it over the poor masses who form an overwhelming percentage of the
population of this country. If you take a closer look at the composition of
public office holders, you will observe that since the advent of our so-called nascent
democracy (which is no longer nascent given that it has been in operation for
over twenty years), about 90% of them continue to be recycled between the
executive and legislative arms of government. Also the list of top public officials is skewed in favor of a particular region especially an ethnic group of the nation.
The exhorbitant
amount of money that is spent to maintain them is not justifiable. The funds
that are required to contest for elective positions has zeroed out those who
genuinely want to serve the nation and the youths, who constitute a greater
percentage of the population.
What we witnessed during
the End-Sars riots is the expression of the frustration of the oppressed masses
of this country, through the youths, who saw the opportunity of the peaceful
protests to hijack it and to release the anger and hunger in them.
A sizeable
percentage of these youths are drug addicts, hooligans, street urchins, school
dropouts and educated job seekers who have been wandering the streets for many
years in search of non-existent jobs. They are the “monster” created by our
society. Our society made them what they are and we have to take responsibility
for their actions.
While I am totally
against the destruction of properties and the bloodletting that we witnessed
during the riot, I call on the Political Elites and their stooges to take a çue from the violence unleashed during the End-sars Riots and heed the command of OLODUMARE. They are presumed guilty of misappropriation of public funds until they are proved innocent by a TRUTH PANEL to be set up. They are therefore requested to move to a two-bedroom apartment in their villages before midnight on the 31st of August 2021 pending the determination of their cases.
Àll Nigeriañs (who receive this message) are encouraged to choose 3 (three) days next week to fast and pray seeking the face of the CREATOR (whatever you conceive HIM to be) to avert another civil war in Ñigeria in this END TIME, Another
uprising is the least of what we need, considering the colossal amount that is
required to restore what we lost during the October riots.
We need to, in the
Spirit of LOVE and FORGIVENESS, chart a new path forward, which will massively
involve the youths because not only do they have a numerical advantage, the
future belongs to them. If we as a nation are looking up to the CREATOR for the
forgiveness of our sins, we need to learn to forgive one another.
Shalom
God Bless Nigeria.
