*WAKE UP AFRICANS*
Beloved, illiteracy, poverty, hunger and diseases are gradually becoming the hallmarks of the African continent.
We are too docile, hence most of our political leaders collude with foreigners to loot the continent with impunity and most of the time, they get away scot-free.
In Nigeria for instance, our failure to adopt a
political model that will take into cognisance and address the welfare of the people, has kept us on the same spot for over sixty years after Independence.
There are far more places of worship than industries and business outlets to gainfully cater for the needs of the teeming jobless youths in search of non-existent jobs. Establishment of churches and other nontaxable religious centers are more lucrative than creating employment. We blame everyone but ourselves for the level of corruption and underdevelopment in the country.
There is nothing wrong with looking up to the CREATOR for divine intervention in our affairs but "HEAVEN HELPS THOSE WHO HELP THEMSELVES". Our docility as a race is due to too much reliance on the divinity at the expense of creative thinking and hard work.
We have fashioned our political system and mode of sufferage after a foreign culture that does not take cognizance of our African background.
We see everything that is African as inferior whereas civilization started from us. Our ancestors were acknowledged even by our colonizers as proud, hard working and confident. We have allowed our erstwhile colonial overlords to succeed in making us look down on our heritage and to believe that everything that is foreign including their mode of worship is superior - a strategy they used to brainwash the colonized.
It is about time we WAKE UP from our slumber and take our destiny in our hands.
It is about time we all jointly say NO to corrupt leadership and another era of Colonization by the new Sherriff, China, which has now emerged as a leader in the comity of nations.

Let the warrior and indomitable spirit of our ancestors, Hannibal the Carthaginian and Chaka the Zulu, the liberty and freedom fighting spirit of Martin Luther King, Nelson Mandela, Malcolm X and other heroes of the past, arise in us in our bid at emancipation and breaking down the shackles of oppression, illiteracy, superstition & poverty.
