THAT HISTORY MAY VINDICATE US

Those of us that are above forty (40) years old should be very careful about the messages we pass on to the coming generation.

We are already living in confusion about social values and this confusion must not be passed on to our children. For instance, how can you say that our ancestors were not worshipping the Creator because they did not have the Bible or Qu'ran in their time?

How can you say that those of them who ignorantly believed that without sacrificing animals to their deity, they cannot have access to Olodumare (The Creator) are mere idol worshippers? I agree that those who sacrificed Human beings to their deity believing they can through doing so have access to the Throne of Grace are murderers.

But we must realize and let our children know that you can worship the same God that our ancestors worshipped (Olodumare) without any blood sacrifice.

You can also worship this same God by believing all that is written in the Holy Book. Colonialism has taken out of us, the will to believe in ourselves and the social values we inherited from our ancestors. We need to straighten the records and have a clean start from our past.

Creation started in Africa. Civilization started in Africa. We should be mindful of these facts so that we can have confidence in ourselves and our youths can hold their heads high wherever they find themselves all over the world.

Our continent is still in this sorry, sordid state because of the way we were partitioned in 1884. We need to come together and speak in one voice against the vestiges of colonialism which we are yet to get rid of on the continent. 

It is not only the Bible believing Christians that can have access to the throne of Grace. Neither is it only the fanatical Muslims. All those who believe in the Creator, God, Olodumare or whatever name you choose to call the Supreme Being can access the Throne of Grace, so long as you have faith and purity of Heart.  

We should never again allow religious differences to be a stumbling block to our progress in Africa. We should rather tolerate each other and appreciate what we have in common (which is the darkness of our skin) and let this characteristic bind us together.

We are too far behind in the scheme of things to allow religious, political, social or economic differences keep us apart. 

Unfortunately our Political Elites are playing on these differences to tactically divide and rule us thereby stagnating the development of the African Continent. THERE IS AN URGENT NEED FOR A CHANGE IN OUR MINDSET which should lead to the rejection of our present political Elites especially in Nigeria where they Urgently need to STEP ASIDE , to give way to a team led by the CONTROLLING SPIRIT OF THIS GENERATION

We are a continent in a hurry to catch up with the rest of Humanity. Let us appreciate these facts and pass them on to our younger ones, so that History will vindicate us.
