The future of Africa depends on the middle class.
Those that i classify as middle class, are those of us who are privileged to have "brainwashed education"and passed this down to our children. Màny of us in this almost extinct class were exposed to primary, secondary & tertiary education. Some are even professionals who have àlso trained our children to go through these stages of education. But in many cases, what the society focuses on is paper qualification. Our education has not been brought to impact positively on the society.
Once we are able to àchieve a certain level of comfort in life & have been able to provide for our family, we have this false notion that " we have arrived".
We close our eyes to what those who have been selected (not elected) to govern us are doing and what we have is resultant bad governance.
Majority of Africàns are living in abject poverty & illiteracy and those who are in the middle class who should use their intellect to fight for them are not forthcoming since their own immediate needs are met. We all fold our hands and do ñothing, forgetting the fact that the future of the unborn generations of Africàns depends on us. Africà is so far behind in the scheme of things that it is time to wake up and fashion out ways to improve the lot of the downtrodden oppressed masses.
The CREATOR has been so kind to those of us who are in the middle class by giving us the tools for survival. But what have we given back to HIM to show our appreciation?
Let us determine in our hearts to ask for the GRACE to put a smile on the face of the less privileged in our society and to chart a course for the well-being of the unborn generations of Africàns. Shalom.
